Comment on ‘What if brands could only state their facts?’ and brands were not allowed to use persuasive marketing as a tool to push their products or services?

    This would create a lot of awareness of what is really going on, seel the product not the lifestyle.
    Could be interesting, I’m sure quite a few brands out there would collapse if this was the case.
    Not many brands out there are transparent sadly.

    This would create a very one dimensional side to a brand. As we know brands are bought for numerous benefits, both physical attributes of the product as well as perceptual benefits. If only the physical attributes of a brand were used for marketing and there was no emotional appeal, then the brands of today would look very different. Certain brands would not be nearly as powerful as they are in reality and the global consumer would be far more price conscious.
